He brought back much useful information, single,handed killed four of the enemy, and returned with 12 prisoners. His disregard for danger and extreme devotion to duty at all times greatly encouraged his company. During the attack on the following day he also again distinguished himself, quite regardless of his own personal safety in the execution of his duty.
